As a child I remember making this super cute little ghosts that were actually made from tissues and tootsie pops. Now that I have my own kids I wanted to pass on the cute treat! So I thought making some of these up for them to go in their candy buckets to start them off on Halloween with a smile.
- 1 Bag of suckers (Tootsie pops, Blow Pops, etc)-$1.00
- 1 Box of Tissues -$1.00
- 1 Package of colored ribbon-$1.00
- Markers (optional)
Place the sucker in the middle of the tissue fold and then pick up the sucker by the stick
Grab the tissue around the base of the sucker and hold firmly, take the piece of pre-cut ribbon and wrap it around the base of the sucker and tie it into a single knot.
Use markers to add eyes, mouths, etc. Be careful with some markers as they will bleed so don’t push too hard down when drawing. You can then add them to a cute vase filled with seasonal tissue paper (all I had was the tissues).
That’s all there is to these cute little ghosts! My bag of Tootsie Pops actually had 10 suckers in it so for $3.00 you can make 10 treats! I wouldn’t recommend making them up to give out to the neighborhood kids because most parents will just toss them, but they are super cute for family! If you are planning a Halloween party you can also use them as decorations by taping or hanging them on the ceiling fan (my husbands idea).
