So I know there are tons of people that want to coupon but think it’s too hard or don’t have the time. I am making this How To Coupon series for you!
I will start over from scratch and show you exactly how to do it. I will post all the awesome coupons for you to print and more to get these deals as well all other kinds of deals for you to use. So hang on tight as we start the journey together!
So I want you to know all about the stores around you before you can really start using coupons. You need to know the coupon policy for your store, print it out!
You can find the Wal-mart Coupon Policy here , this is a big one that you need as there are times that the cashiers don’t know the policy themselves. For the most part stores have an online version of their policy but if yours does not call them and ask for a verbal rundown of it and then be sure to write their name down and the date.
Getting items for free or close to free is all about combining sales with coupons to get the lowest price possible. If you can be put in a mailing list for your stores ad do so, if not most stores send out the ad for that week with what most call their “junk mail” on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
The next thing you need to do before really doing a coupon trip is to start accumulating coupons. Buy a Sunday paper every week that there are coupons in them. (Holiday weekends the paper do not contain coupons) Coupons are regional so your coupon value may vary as well as what coupons you get. You will need to come up with a way you want to organize your coupons, you can see the 2 most popular ways to organize on this post.
Every week you need to cut those coupons and organize them the way you chose because you take just one week off and when it comes time to do it again you may feel a bit overwhelmed and not want to continue with couponing.
That’s the two most important things you need to do before starting with couponing. So get those two things down and continue with me with How to Coupon.
Homework Assignment: Print or find out your local stores coupon policies. Ask any questions about those policies that you may have as a comment on this post or on facebook
Our next learning experience will be on how to match coupons with sales in order to get them at the rock bottom price. Stay tuned for tomorrows post on this!
